Textsure file requirements and supported languages
Compare file formats, size limits, text length and language requirements across the four Textsure checkers.
The four services have different input rules. Use the requirements for the checker you select; a file accepted by one service may not be accepted by another. These are Textsure’s limits, not universal provider limits.
Quick AI
Quick AI uses a language model to review writing patterns. It is a preliminary reading aid, not a source-matching service or a Turnitin report.
- Input: Paste text, or upload TXT, DOCX or a text-based PDF
- File size: Up to 2 MB; PDF files up to 30 pages
- Text length: 300–6,000 words; up to 45,000 characters
- Language & style: English continuous prose, not code, poetry or a list of isolated phrases
Turnitin
The Turnitin service provides similarity and AI-writing reports for eligible documents. It is useful when you need those specific report types, not just a general writing review.
- File formats: PDF, DOC or DOCX with readable text
- File size: Up to 10 MB
- Document length: 400–28,000 words
- Languages: English, Spanish or Japanese
- Content: Essays, theses and continuous academic prose. No presentations, scanned or password-protected files.
iThenticate
This Textsure service delivers an iThenticate AI Writing Report for eligible academic documents. It is not a substitute for your institution’s or publisher’s required submission process.
- File formats: PDF, DOC or DOCX with readable text
- File size: Up to 10 MB
- Document length: 400–28,000 words
- Languages: English, Spanish or Japanese
- Content: Essays, theses and continuous academic prose. No presentations, scanned or password-protected files.
ZeroGPT
This service sends your text to ZeroGPT’s AI detection API. It does not include ZeroGPT plagiarism checking or a report from another provider.

- File size: Up to 2 MB; PDF files up to 30 pages
- Text length: 300–50,000 characters
- Language: Language handling depends on ZeroGPT. Availability does not establish equal accuracy across languages.
Common questions
Why does my PDF have too little text?
It may contain scans, images or text that cannot be extracted reliably. Export a readable, text-based PDF from the source document. Adding a text layer does not guarantee provider acceptance.
Is a word limit the same as a character limit?
No. Quick AI has both word and character caps; ZeroGPT’s input range is measured in characters. Their Credit costs are calculated from words, rounded up by 1,000-word blocks.
Does passing the file check guarantee a report?
No. Precheck catches common input problems, but final provider processing can still fail. Follow the order status rather than repeatedly resubmitting.
