Turnitin Report Sample — AI Writing & Similarity Examples
Explore Textsure’s illustrative Turnitin AI-writing and similarity report examples. See what each percentage means and what to review before checking your paper.
A Turnitin check has two different report types: AI writing and similarity. This public page reuses Textsure’s existing demo example to explain both. The sample numbers are illustrative, not findings from a completed provider check or a result for your paper.

AI-writing report example: 28%
Textsure’s demo document is an example titled Urban green spaces and student wellbeing. Its illustrative AI percentage is 28%. In an actual provider report, the percentage refers to the qualifying prose flagged by the model, rather than the probability that the author used AI.
Use an AI-writing report to review the overview and the passages marked in the document. The text around a highlight, the document version and the author’s writing process provide context that the percentage alone cannot supply. This demo does not include provider-generated passage highlights.
A displayed 0%, a suppressed result marked *%, and an unavailable report are different states. Do not replace a missing AI-writing result with zero.
Similarity report example: 12% across 18 sources
The same demo shows an illustrative 12% similarity score and 18 sources. This is separate from the 28% AI-writing example. Similarity describes matching text; it does not describe how much of a document was generated by AI.
When you receive a real similarity report, read the matching passage and its listed source together. Check whether the wording is quoted and attributed appropriately. Also review any bibliography, quotation or small-match exclusions before comparing report totals.
The source count in this demo is an example value. It is not a list of matches found for the sample title, and no source search was run to create this preview.

- Keep the report settings with any comparison you make.
How to check your own paper
